INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES.

We’re looking for amazing interns to be part of the team. We are creating an exciting business and lifestyle platform to help provide education to women in the DJ community and those who aspire to be. In addition to receiving mentorship from the Beat Junkies themselves alongside the founder of L.O.S., Maricel Sison, interns get hands-on experience, training, and an opportunity to attend our community networking events, speaker series, and more. Create a real impact, be immersed in a great community, and gain a deeper understanding of DJ culture!


Videographer Internship


Applicants should be available to work out of our Glendale office 2-3 days for at least 10-15 hours per week and able to receive college credit.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about film, TV and storytelling

  • Knowledge of DJ Culture a plus, but not required.

  • Has extensive knowledge about cameras, sound and lighting

  • 1-2 years of hands-on filming experience

  • Able to film and long and short-form videos with tight, daily deadlines

  • Understanding of technical specs for various types of content (Instagram, website, YouTube, etc.)

  • Able to dedicate 2 days a week, Mon-Thurs for at least eight weeks

  • Creative, detail-oriented, hard working, natural problem-solver

  • Proficient in the Adobe suite or Final Cut Pro

  • Film, Communications Major preferred but not essential

Responsibilities:

  • Brainstorming and planning of all Video Concepts

  • Filming Events, tutorials, interviews and more

    • Long-Format Videos (Interviews, Podcasts, Show Concepts)

    • IGTV

    • Instagram Story content

    • Marketing/Advertising


PR INTERNSHIP

Applicants should be available to work out of our Glendale office 2-3 days for at least 10-15 hours per week and able to receive college credit.

PR candidate should have knowledge of the Beat Junkie and Ladies of Sound brand, as well as of the BJIOS community as a whole. Experience in publicity preferred, but not required.

Candidate must be comfortable writing in a fast paced environment as there are often simultaneous projects at any given time.

Requirements:

  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills

  • Strong knowledge/interest in the music/entertainment industry Self-starter, multitasker

  • Ability to work 2-3 days a week

  • Well-organized

  • Be proactive and resourceful

  • A willingness to take direction, as well as individual initiative

  • Punctual

  • Social Media Knowledge a plus

  • Applicant MUST be Internet savvy

Responsibilities:

  • Writing of press materials such as press releases and newsletters

  • Compiling press reports – Tracking press clippings

  • Reaching out to relevant outlets and news sources

  • Updating media contact lists and databases

  • Maintain company's media and industry database up to date

  • Conduct industry-related research for online and print publications

  • Edit and proofread press releases

  • Drafting media pitches

  • Tracking media coverage

  • The intern may occasionally be needed for on-site support at concerts and special events This is a great opportunity to learn all areas of the PR world in a fun, friendly, fast-paced environment

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERNSHIP

Applicants should be available to work out of our Glendale office 2-3 days for at least 10-15 hours per week and able to receive college credit.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated skills in Graphic Design, Photography, Photo/Video Editing

  • Must be currently enrolled as a Full Time Student Exceptional computer, written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Creating original engaging content for BJIOS/LOS socials

  • Creating brand specific content

  • Graphic Design experience

  • Knowledge in mailchimp and squarespace

  • Source content for BJIOS/LOS socials, and assist with putting together social media plans.

  • Keeping database of contacts BJIOS/LOS recruits up to date and sending mail-outs.

  • On site help at BJIOS/LOS events.

  • Liaising with talent / our ambassadors and ensuring they get the most out of the events we run.
